Payment Options
Gustaf accepts several payment methods:
- Credit Card: Payments can be made directly via his website.
- Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT): For bank details, please contact Gustaf directly.
- Cash: Please arrange cash payments with Gustaf in advance.
- Medical Aid: Gustaf’s office submits accounts to medical aids weekly. Accounts are initially billed to your medical aid; if rejected, payment must be made in cash.
Fees and Tariffs
- Standard Medical Aid Tariffs: Gustaf charges standard medical aid tariffs. If your medical aid plan covers psychological services, he will submit the claims directly to them.
- Private Patients/Cash Tariff: A fee applies per 51-60 minute session.
- Inpatient/Hospital Visits: Standard medical aid in-hospital tariffs are charged.
- Consultation, Coaching, or Therapeutic Interventions for Businesses: Fees are charged per booked hour.

Why do Medical Aid Rates Differ?
Before 2010 the NHRPL set mandatory fees for mental-health services. A High-Court ruling in mid-2010 ended publication of new lists, so practitioners now set their own rates.
Each medical aid reimburses a chosen percentage above the (now outdated) 2010 NHRPL figure — for example “NHRPL + 5%” or “NHRPL + 100%”.
