For specific, defined problems Gustaf follows the work developed by Dr. James F. Masterson, MD and his adaptation of the traditional object-relations theory that focus on problems of the self.
The relationship is interactive and patients usually come once or twice a week. More sessions can be arranged depending on the patient’s need and Gustaf’s availability.
Most medical aids limit their benefits for clinical psychologists. As the patient you have to find out from your medical aid how many sessions they cover. If you need more sessions, draw up a plan so that you can budget for continued therapy. Medical aids cover a specific amount of sessions for specific diagnoses.
Gustaf is trained in short term cognitive interventions (CBT, NLP) and will apply these approaches as necessary.
